Video: Daughter-in-law Arrested for Strangling 75-Year-Old Woman

On February 29, a report was received by the Masis Police Department regarding the sudden death of a 75-year-old woman. Following оперативно-розыскные мероприятия (operational-search activities) carried out by the Masis Police officers on March 1, it was discovered that the elderly woman did not die unexpectedly; rather, on the morning of February 29, she had argued with her 31-year-old daughter-in-law over household issues, during which the latter strangled her mother-in-law to death.

The 31-year-old woman was taken to the Masis Police Department, then presented to the body conducting the preliminary investigation and was arrested. The preliminary investigation into the criminal case opened on the grounds of murder is ongoing. A number of expert examinations have been appointed.
