Marukyan Expresses Discontent, Aims to Persuade Babajanyan to Resign
According to the "Zhoghovurd" newspaper, a session of the National Assembly council took place yesterday, during which the agenda for today’s meetings was approved. Included in the agenda are both the legislative amendments regarding vetting and the project on the confiscation of property of illegal origins. However, another controversial project will also be on the agenda: the amendments and additions to the law on banking secrecy.
Additionally, other decisions were made during the council meeting, notably the removal of the BHK faction member Tigran Urikhanyan from delegations.
Furthermore, we have received more noteworthy information from the council session. Specifically, the head of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction, Edmon Marukyan, raised a question about the absence of independent deputies in Armenia. As is known, Arman Babajanyan has left the faction and is now serving as an independent deputy. However, Marukyan stated yesterday that they would initiate discussions on this issue. Essentially, they are aiming to persuade Arman Babajanyan to resign from his mandate.
