Traffic Restricted Due to Water Line Accident on Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia Border Highway
On March 2, at 15:30, an accident occurred on the M-6 Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia border highway at approximately km 23+140, involving a water line with a diameter of 1000 mm. The accident caused damage to a section of the recently renovated road.
Currently, works are underway to clean the road surface and temporarily restore it. After completion of these works, it will be possible to assess the damage caused to the road due to the water line accident.
Traffic in the affected area is being conducted with certain restrictions. Representatives of the traffic police are present at the accident site to manage traffic. An employee from the Republic of Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure’s “Transport Programs Implementation Organization” is also on-site.
