Is There No Textile Company That Could Start Producing Masks for Just One Month? - Zohrab Yeghanyan
Facebook user Zohrab Yeghanyan wrote on his page: “When the Artsakh war began, our country had a strong scientific potential that remained from the Soviet era. Our scientists were able to adapt the machines operating in Armenia for the production of weapons and ammunition and did invaluable work. They created automatic rifles, machine guns, grenades, and many other necessary items. Thirty years have passed, a huge number of scientists have emigrated from Armenia, and there is almost no new generation due to the insignificant funds allocated for science, while factory machines have been sold or looted. Now we are even forced to import medical masks from abroad. I do not understand, is there really no textile company that could start producing only masks for a month? We are truly unprepared for crisis situations, and the strength of the state is showcased in such moments. My only wish is that this situation makes us stronger, more prepared, with a plan A, B, and C in place.”
