Why Has the Export of Medical Masks Not Yet Been Banned? Edmon Marukyan
I believe the export of medical masks should be banned. This was stated by the president of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, Edmon Marukyan, on his Facebook page. He wrote:
“In regard to preventing the spread of the coronavirus:
1. I think the Yerevan-Milan flights should be canceled, as Northern Italy has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, and the cases already reported in Georgia have been confirmed to be linked to a Milan flight.
2. Why has the export of medical masks not yet been banned? This has already been prohibited in Georgia, where they are sold under special conditions. Meanwhile, no such export ban exists in Armenia, and according to some reports, these masks have been exported for significant profit. I believe the export of medical masks should be banned.
3. Special medical masks and protective gear, such as glasses and outerwear, should be allocated and planned for all state agencies that provide various services to citizens so that they can be used by public servants during outbreaks of epidemics while continually providing services to citizens.”
