Flight from Tbilisi to Yerevan Canceled Due to Insufficient Number of Passengers: Clarification

Hakob Jagharyan, an advisor to the Prime Minister of Armenia, made a post on his Facebook page responding to news about the postponement of the Tbilisi-Yerevan flight.

“The reality is that neither Georgia nor Armenia has canceled any part of the Air Communication with each other. The Armenian and Georgian airlines, Armenia and Georgian Airways, performing joint flights on this route removed one of the two daily flights from their schedules to Yerevan-Moscow-Yerevan-Tbilisi due to insufficient number of passengers about 20-25 days ago... and that’s it,” he wrote.

Jagharyan has contacted the management of Armenia airline, which confirmed the validity of his suspicions. He also noted that his son, Aran, is currently piloting this flight and is on his way back from Moscow.

“No delays are expected on the Yerevan-Tbilisi segment,” he mentioned.
