Minister's Advisor Resigns from Position

Olya Azatyan, the advisor to the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, has submitted her resignation. She announced this on her Facebook page.

“Dear friends and respected colleagues, today is my last working day as an advisor to the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia. I have been dismissed according to my resignation request. As an advisor, my working area and influence were very limited, and I was not given the opportunity to do more. I made this decision last November, but it took several months to complete my unfinished work. I would like to thank Minister Zaruhie Batoyan and my colleagues in the ministry for their trust and effective cooperation. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is undergoing profound reforms in the field of social protection, and I wish the ministry all the success in implementing them. I also wish success to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his revolutionary team.

I am preparing to fully immerse myself in the academic environment for at least the next year or year and a half, and finally dedicate time to working thoroughly on my dissertation. I am not going far—I am thinking and writing about the modernization of Armenia (politically). There is a great need for discussions on Armenia's modernization and accordingly formulating an agenda, and there are also people who are talking and can talk more about it,” the advisor noted.
