Jalal Harutyunyan is a worthy replacement, says Kocharyan

The appointment of Jalal Harutyunyan as the new commander of the Artsakh Defense Army is excellent. This was stated by Andranik Kocharyan, the head of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Defense and Security, during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly.

Kocharyan evaluated the appointment as a charismatic figure, noting that throughout his service, he has had a charismatic personality, from a rank-and-file soldier to senior staff. “Our army needs such charismatic figures,” Kocharyan said.

According to the parliament member, Jalal Harutyunyan is a worthy replacement for strengthening and changing the armed forces. “I am confident that Jalal Harutyunyan will continue to strengthen the intellectual legacy left by Abrahamyan, adding new manifestations of courage and patriotism, as that character played a very important role during the April military operations,” he noted.
