Armenia Records Largest Growth in Human Rights Index in the Region

In 2019, Armenia's human rights index rating was 6.1, while the regional average stood at 5.31. This information has been reported by the Government of Armenia.

Among the four components of the index, an increase was noted in three:

Tolerance and Inclusion
The growth was over 1 point, rising from 3.89 in 2018 to 4.92 in 2019. No similar increase has been recorded in any of the EAEU, CIS, or neighboring countries since 2011.

Individual Rights
Armenia's 2019 score for individual rights was 5.69, which is an increase of 0.27 points from 2018. In many comparable countries, there has either been no progress or a lower growth rate.

Accessibility of Education
Armenia's score improved in 2019 to 8.37, placing it 26th among the 45 countries included in the report.
