40 Individuals Hospitalized in Armenia with Fever or Other Symptoms
According to the newspaper "Zhoghovurd", currently, 40 individuals exhibiting fever or other symptoms have been hospitalized in Armenia. This information was shared with "Zhoghovurd" by Anna Harutyunyan, the head of the Sanitary-Hygienic and Epidemiological Surveillance Department of the Ministry of Health.
Despite the assurances from the authorities, there is not much trust among the public regarding the quality of the infection monitoring efforts. As is known, the bodies responsible for preventing the infiltration and spread of coronavirus in Armenia are the Ministry of Health and the Health and Labor Inspection Agency.
During these days, various citizens are entering Armenia by air and land, who may be carriers of the virus, and its spread could occur through contacts. Yesterday, "Zhoghovurd" also interviewed Narek Zeynalanyan, the chairman of the Health and Social Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, to understand how monitoring is being conducted. "A personal card is filled out at the airport. If a person has complaints, such as fever, they are hospitalized and tested. If there are no complaints, then a location-based card is filled out, along with temperature checks for 14 days," mentioned Narek Zeynalanyan.
According to him, the likelihood of infecting another person in secret is minimal. The only outstanding question is about the quality and responsibility with which potential virus carriers are being monitored over the 14 days. Let’s hope this is not done only in words."
