Vladimir Karapetyan Actively Involved in Business After Dismissal
Former Prime Minister Pashinyan's spokesperson, Vladimir Karapetyan, has actively engaged in the business sector following his dismissal. On one hand, he is operating the 'Voskepaz' wine bar on Saryan Street in collaboration with Hovhannes Azoyan, while simultaneously he has opened a second media outlet, 365news.am.
Interestingly, it is reported that Karapetyan has also opened a similar restaurant in neighboring Georgia, in Tbilisi, where he frequently visits. This was reported by Yerevantoday.am.
According to the Ministry of Justice’s registry data, there is no registration for the trademarks Newarmenia and 365news.am. Instead, we found the details of 'Nor Lratuanak' LLC, which, it appears, is handling transactions for Karapetyan's newly opened two websites.
A company named 'Nor Lratuanak' was registered on September 13, 2018, under the name of Susanna Hakobyan. Subsequently, the domains NewArmenia and 365news.am were registered on July 15 and October 22, 2019, respectively, during Karapetyan's tenure in the government. It begs the question: who needed the additional resources of two news outlets, and with whose money were these investments made?
In the past month, Vladimir Karapetyan has begun to make quite impressive investments and expenditures in the newly established media outlets. This includes supplementing the editorial team with professional and well-paid staff, equipping with the latest technology, television studios, cameras, and more.
Considering that the office of the first media outlet established by Karapetyan, NewArmenia.am, is located on one of the most expensive rental streets in Yerevan—specifically on Saryan Street, just above the 'Voskepaz' wine bar—the situation becomes even more intriguing.
