Staff at St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center Has Committed Serious Negligence, Spokesperson
A tense situation has arisen at the St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center since early this morning. Hospital staff report that they are being forced to submit resignation letters. According to the employees, a purge is underway at the hospital, and all of this is happening without any valid reason.
The staff insists that the hospital director, Arman Hovakimyan, has been in his position for two years, but has already dismissed a significant number of people. "He removes department heads and brings in his own people," they say.
Auroranews contacted the medical center’s press secretary, Tsovinar Khachatryan, who commented on the situation, stating that although there have been instances of staff dismissals today, the hospital is not in a tense state. "The medical center has been operating normally since early this morning; there are no issues. However, regarding the situation where they say employees are being forced to write resignation letters, that's not true. In fact, there has been serious negligence of work duties, and those employees who have allowed such negligence have been subjected to penalties," Khachatryan said.
When asked what kind of negligence is involved, the spokesperson said they wouldn’t provide details at this time, only mentioning that out of the entire staff, three individuals committed gross violations of their duties, to which the hospital has responded within the framework of the law.
Khachatryan added that the employees have reacted emotionally to the incident and are presenting the situation to the media in a way that suits them, ignoring the reality. "The hospital will respond and comment on the created situation. For now, that's all I can say," the spokesperson concluded.
