New Head of Cadastre Committee Engaged in Cleansing Old Personnel
According to information from the "Zhoghovurd" daily, there is a personnel purge taking place at the State Committee on Real Estate Cadastre of Armenia, and the newly appointed head Suren Tovmasyan is dedicated to eliminating old staff. However, it has become known to "Zhoghovurd" that the current leader is trying to get rid of not only Sarhat Petrosyan's personnel but also those who have worked in this system for decades.
For instance, at the beginning of this year, the head of the unified division of real estate registration, Arthur Petrosyan, was dismissed, but according to the official statement, Petrosyan was let go due to health issues. During this time, there are vacant positions at the Cadastre Committee for which competitions are being held.
"Zhoghovurd" has also learned that simultaneously, a reform process has begun at the Cadastre Committee, led by Deputy David Soghomonyan. This involves cadastre maps. It turns out that the committee's staff is trying to bring the cadastre maps to a state where residents will not face issues. However, this phenomenon has been causing legal disputes and banking problems.
According to a specialist who spoke to "Zhoghovurd", the overwhelming majority of lawsuits related to the Cadastre are not satisfied, resulting in the Cadastre owing the Ministry of Justice more than 200 million drams.
