Body of Missing Young Man Found in Gavar

The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia reports that rescuers have discovered the body of Bagrat M., a resident of the Hatzarat neighborhood in the city of Gavar, who had been missing since the night before.

“At 3:10 PM, rescuers found the body of Bagrat M. (born in 1983) near the area known as ‘Bzoy’s Ghol’ in Gavar,” the statement said.

It is reminded that on February 26 at 12:59 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received information that Bagrat M. left home around 9:00 PM on February 25 and has not returned. The last phone call made by the citizen occurred at 9:30 PM, during which he informed that he was located in the ‘White Stone’ area near the village of Tsaghkashen.

A firefighting and rescue team from the regional rescue department of MES dispatched a combat unit to the specified area for search operations. From 1:36 AM, rescuers, along with police officers and the missing person’s relatives, conducted search operations; however, due to the difficult terrain and darkness, the efforts were temporarily halted at 2:17 AM.

On February 26, at 11:26 AM, search operations were resumed by rescuers and police personnel. The efforts were supported by relatives of the missing citizen.
