Nearly 1.1 million people visited the Leonardo da Vinci exhibition at the Louvre, which was dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the artist and inventor's death. This figure surpasses all previous records for the museum. Artnet reported the news.
“It’s wonderful that the Italian painter of the Renaissance continues to captivate the broad public 500 years after his death,” stated Louvre President and Director Jean-Luc Martinez.
