Pilot of Plane that Made Emergency Landing in Istanbul Arrested
On February 5, an emergency landing by a Boeing 737 operating a Istanbul-Izmir flight at Sabiha Gokcen International Airport in Istanbul resulted in the deaths of three people. The Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor of Anadolu has launched an investigation into the incident.
The pilot has been charged with negligence leading to the deaths of three individuals. After receiving treatment in the hospital, the pilot was arrested, as reported by ermenihaber.
It is worth noting that the Turkish carrier Pegasus operated the flight, which crashed after a hard landing, breaking apart and leaving the runway. There were 183 people on board, including 177 passengers and 6 crew members.
