Blizzard in Kuchak Village: Road Closures and Difficult Conditions
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 25 at 22:40, there are closed and difficult roads across the territory of Armenia.
The roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kar Lake in Aragatsotn Province will remain closed for an indefinite period. The Vardenyats Pass is closed (blizzard) to all types of vehicles. The Keti-Ashotsk road in Shirak Province is impassable.
On the Sotk-Karvachar route (blizzard), as well as on the Sevan-Gavar road in Gegharkunik Province and the Lanjik-Mastara road in Shirak Province, there are patches of black ice. In Syunik Province's Kajaran city, there is snowfall in the areas known as 'Meghru Sar', Sisian-'Zanger', and Saravan-'Zanger' (fog).
In Kuchak Village, Aragatsotn Province, there is a blizzard. Regarding the Lars situation, information received from the Emergency Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of North Ossetia indicates that the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed to trucks and open to other types of vehicles. According to the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of North Ossetia, 483 trucks are currently stranded on the Russian side.
