Misappropriations at Uytzi Community Secondary School: Principal Charged
In the ongoing criminal investigation conducted by the Investigative Committee of Syunik Province, misappropriations have been uncovered at the "Uytzi Secondary School" State Non-Commercial Organization.
The preliminary investigation has gathered factual data indicating that the principal of the school, who has held the position since 1999, utilized his official position with malicious intent and, with a singular criminal intent aimed at embezzling funds from the state, employed two residents of the community. However, these individuals did not fulfill their job responsibilities, and the salaries they received each month were entirely handed over to the principal of the school.
Based on sufficient evidence collected in the criminal case, the principal has been charged under Article 179, Part 2, Points 1 and 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (embezzlement). A signature as a preventive measure was chosen to ensure he does not flee.
During the preliminary investigation, the principal transferred the total damages caused by the crime to the Depositor account of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, amounting to a total of 1,331,664 AMD, as a remedy for the harm caused.
Notice: The suspected or accused individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia by a legally binding court verdict.
