Deer Falls Ill at Zoo Due to Throat Obstruction by Plastic Bags

A deer collapsed at the Yerevan Zoo a few days ago. According to preliminary investigations, the animal's collapse was due to negligence. This was reported by 'Haykakan Jamanak'.

Veterinarian Harutyun Hovhannisyan informed the staff that the deer fell due to a throat obstruction. The animal's esophagus was completely filled with plastic bags and straw, which caused it to suffocate and subsequently die. The deer was otherwise healthy, and no damage to other organs was found during the autopsy.

This deer was transported from the Akna Lodge, owned by Manvel Grigoryan, to the zoo.
