Mercedes-Benz Rolls into Ravine in Shirak, 4 Hospitalized
Last night, a traffic accident occurred on the Pokrashen-Torosgyugh highway. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a firefighting and rescue team from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.
It was revealed that a "Mercedes-Benz C180" vehicle (driver: Sargis Gh., born in 1978) veered off the roadway near the 17th km of the Gyumri-Ashotsk highway and rolled approximately 25 meters into a ravine.
Before rescuers arrived, the driver and passengers (Ani A., born in 1990; Miassnik V., born in 1991; Vardges V., born in 1992; and Susanna A., born in 1997) were pulled from the vehicle by local forces and taken to the Gyumri hospital, where doctors assessed the condition of the injured as satisfactory.
The rescuers disconnected the vehicle's battery and closed the gas tank valve, then retrieved the vehicle to the drivable area of the road.
