362,000 Dollars in Bonuses Distributed in the National Assembly
In the National Assembly, bonuses equivalent to 362,000 dollars have been distributed under the orders K-14-A and K-15-A issued by the President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, on February 4. This was reported by Antifake.am.
The bonuses were allocated as an incentive for the work done by the members of parliament and staff during the 17 working days of January.
The orders were published on February 6, but the appendices were not available on the official website, making it impossible to determine which officials received the bonuses.
Antifake.am submitted an inquiry to the staff of the National Assembly requesting the total amount of the bonuses allocated under the aforementioned two orders and the appendices that should have been published alongside the orders, but they were not made public.
In response, the staff of the National Assembly stated: “The total amount of bonuses allocated under the K-14-A order of the President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, dated 04.02.2020, was 113,237,560 AMD, while the total amount allocated under the K-15-A order was 60,540,423 AMD.”
The staff of the National Assembly declined to provide the appendices, citing the protection of employees' personal data.
Thus, for the 17 working days of January, members of parliament and employees of the National Assembly received bonuses totaling 173,777,983 AMD, equivalent to about 362,000 dollars.
It is noteworthy that in December alone, bonuses were distributed four times in the National Assembly, with Ararat Mirzoyan receiving a bonus of 3 million AMD.
