Officials of Armenian Descent Dismissed in Russia

The newspaper "Padt" reports that recently information has spread stating that several high-ranking officials of Armenian descent (and not only) working within the law enforcement system of the Russian Federation have been dismissed from their positions.

According to a source in Moscow for "Padt," a new "cleansing" is beginning within Russian circles, and it is possible that this chain of dismissals may expand in the near future.

The publication indicates that representatives of the previous government of Armenia, currently residing in Russia and connected to cases opened in Armenia, are seriously concerned about this unfolding situation. There is a fear that the topic of handing them over to Armenian law enforcement might be "revived" against this backdrop. The issue here is not only the potential weakening of specific officials in Russia but also the positions of certain associated individuals.
