Chess Player Shant Sargsyan Celebrates Victory

Armenian chess players continue their performances at the Moscow 'Aeroflot Open 2020' tournament. In the second round of the A subgroup, Shant Sargsyan and Manuel Petrosyan achieved victories. Gabriel Sargsyan and Hayk Martirosyan finished their games in a draw.

In the B subgroup, Tigran Harutyunyan defeated Lilit Mkrtchyan, while Hovik Hayrapetyan triumphed over Anna Sargsyan. Elina Danielyan also concluded her match with a draw.

The Aeroflot Open 2020 will conclude on February 27. The main group of the tournament features 74 chess players and follows a Swiss system format with 9 rounds. The prize fund for the tournament amounts to 140,000 euros.
