Video: What Book is Felix Tsolakyan Giving to Children?
The Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia, Felix Tsolakyan, has joined a book donation flashmob. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Tsolakyan is donating books about the rules of behavior for "Disaster Risk Reduction Education" to children.
February 19, the birth date of the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan, has been celebrated in Armenia as Book Donation Day for over a decade. This day brings together all those who donate books to children and instill a desire to read in them. Various events are held across Armenia on this day, and naturally, everyone can offer a wonderful gift to anyone by donating a book.
The books will be handed over to the community library in Armash, Ararat Province, as the library is in great need of them, and this initiative aims to activate visits to the reading room on-site. Three of the packages provided by the minister will be delivered to the library, while the others will be distributed to schools in the region's villages.
