Traffic Police Enhanced Surveillance Results
The Traffic Police's patrol service and accompanying special unit conducted enhanced operations in the capital on February 18.
“Prior to the start, the head of the patrol service, Eduard Bazikyan, instructed the staff to maintain a zero-tolerance attitude towards drivers who display open disrespect for other road users,” the statement said. During the enhanced service, the following violations were detected: 9 vehicles without a mandatory insurance contract, 7 vehicles with tinted windshields, 2 vehicles with expired license plates, 2 vehicles equipped with modified exhausts for loud noise, and 1 vehicle operating with unauthorized beacons.
Three vehicles were towed to a secure area. The enhanced services of the traffic police, concerned about road safety, are regular in practice,” the statement added.
