Armenian Side Allows Azerbaijanis to Search for Their Soldier, Remains Discovered

On February 19, 2023, at the request of the Azerbaijani side and with the mediation of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office's Personal Representative Andrzej Kasprzyk, supported by the ICRC, search operations were conducted in the vicinity of the village of Movses, in the inter-force territory between the Armenian Armed Forces and the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. These operations aimed to locate an Azerbaijani serviceman who went missing under unknown circumstances a few days prior.

As a result of the efforts, remains of the deceased Azerbaijani serviceman were found and evacuated just meters away from Azerbaijani positions. Throughout the operation permitted by the Armenian side, all necessary security conditions were ensured for the Azerbaijani search group.
