Under What Circumstances and How Much Can be Seized from a Debtor's Salary
The Enforcement Service informs that according to the amendments made to the Labor Code of the Republic of Armenia, as of January 1, 2020, employers with 10 or more employees in Yerevan must make payments in a non-cash manner.
A citizen with obligations, whose salary is transferred to a bank account and has been subject to seizure, may present a relevant certificate issued by the employer to proceed based on Articles 56 and 58 of the Law on Enforcement of Judicial Acts.
The certificate issued by the employer must include:
- The personal details of the employee (debtor),
- The amount of salary,
- The name of the commercial bank to which the salary is transferred,
- The employer's account number from which the salary is transferred to that bank,
- The signature of the employer.
