Has Artashat's Social Security Misappropriated the Benefit for the Third Child?
A resident of Artashat, 34-year-old Tatyana Manaseryan, currently living in Anapa, Russia, claims that the Social Security Service of Artashat has misappropriated the one-time benefit for her third child. In an interview with NEWS.am, Tatyana shared that she submitted an application to Social Security last year, was told it would be forwarded, then left the country, but the money was never transferred.
"My three children were born in Russia, but they are citizens of Armenia. After the birth of my third child, I returned to collect the money owed to me by law. I applied in November, and they told me the transfer would be made by December 10, but it turned out that I left Armenia and the money was not transferred, despite the application being accepted and confirmed. I feel like the money has been taken and misappropriated, and for four months now they have been dragging me through this process," the 34-year-old woman explained.
She noted that she contacted the hot line of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and reported her issue; they stated that by law she should be provided with that money. Tatyana also reached out to the Prime Minister's office, where it was confirmed that her claim is legal and they would keep the issue under review.
Ms. Tatyana has left her children, aged 2.5 years, 1.5 years, and 5 months, in Anapa to come and collect this money, but no progress has been made on her application.
