Arthur Aleksanyan to Compete for European Championship Title
Olympic champion, triple world champion, and four-time European champion Arthur Aleksanyan has reached the finals of the European Championship in the 97 kg weight category.
In Rome, in the 60 kg category, Gevorg Garibyan has also advanced to the finals, where he will compete against Turkey's Kerem Kamali.
In the 82 kg category, Ruben Garibyan lost in the quarter-finals to Italy's Chiro Rosso with a score of 5:3.
In the semi-finals of the 97 kg weight class, Arthur Aleksanyan faced Finland's Matti Elias Kuosmanen and celebrated victory with a score of 8:1.
The Armenian wrestler will fight for the title of European champion.
Earlier, the 72 kg wrestler Malxas Amoyan was eliminated from the competition after losing in the opening match.
This European Championship is not a qualification event for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
