Arthur Aleksanyan and 4 More Armenian Wrestlers to Compete Today

At the ongoing Greco-Roman Wrestling European Championship in Italy, five more Armenian wrestlers will enter the mat today: Gevorg Gharybiyan (60 kg), Karen Aslanyan (67 kg), Malkhas Amoyan (72 kg), Ruben Gharybiyan (82 kg), and Arthur Aleksanyan (97 kg).

It is worth noting that yesterday, among our five wrestlers who competed, four lost in their opening matches. As the wrestlers who defeated them also lost later on, our athletes were deprived of the opportunity to fight for bronze medals. Only Karapet Chalanyan secured three consecutive victories but then lost in the semifinals. Today, Chalanyan will compete for the bronze medal.
