VIDEO: Individuals with 'Criminal Subculture' Arrested in Gegharkunik

A special operation has been conducted in the Gegharkunik region aimed at combating criminal behaviors. This was reported by the Public Relations Department of the Police of Armenia.

Based on operational information, officers from the Main Department of Criminal Investigation, the Gegharkunik regional department, and subordinate units apprehended individuals associated with the 'criminal subculture' in the divisions of Gavar, Sevan, Martuni, Vardenis, and Chambarak.

Personal searches and vehicle inspections were conducted, leading to the discovery of knives, clubs, substances resembling drugs, and other items that were seized and sent for examination.

During the special operation, there were also instances of voluntarily surrendering illegally held revolvers and grenades.

The police have indicated that measures to ensure public safety are carried out daily. Individuals with a 'criminal subculture' background are continuously within the operational sight of the police for the sake of community safety.
