Edmon Marukyan: No Matter How Much They Amend the Package, It Cannot Be Fixed

The leader of the "Enlightened Armenia" parliamentary faction, Edmon Marukyan, addressed journalists regarding the canceled extraordinary session of the National Assembly and the reasons for its cancellation.

“In the span of two days, three sessions of the National Assembly’s council have been convened and postponed. A draft was brought, removed, brought back, revised, and then this session was convened. We came here, and now the draft has been removed from this session as well. There are things that need to be amended and reintroduced. Can you imagine how much one can trivialize such an important process? On the other hand, how long can one be indecisive and not know what they want to do? There are lawyers, there are specialists, writing and bringing proposals. Just imagine how problematic this package is that no matter how much they amend it, there is always room for more corrections. But let me inform you, no matter how much they amend that package, it cannot be fixed. Its essence is unconstitutional,” he stated.

Marukyan also informed that a session of the National Assembly’s council is scheduled to convene in an hour, during which another extraordinary session will be called.
