23 Victims Reported After Avalanche in Turkey

23 people have lost their lives due to an avalanche that occurred in Turkey. The incident took place in Van province. Currently, 15 individuals remain trapped in the snow. Rescuers have successfully saved 30 lives, transporting them to nearby medical facilities. A total of 300 rescuers are involved in the search efforts.

According to the information available at this moment, 23 people have died as a result of the second avalanche,” said Van Governor Mehmet Emin Bilmez. It has been reported that among the victims are eight gendarmerie personnel, three firefighters, three members of the security staff, and nine civilians.
