Deputy Director of Channel 5 Assaulted in Yerevan

On February 2, around 00:30, a call was received by the police regarding a citizen being assaulted by a group of individuals near the Mergelyan Institute.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, investigators from the Arabkir division of the police have identified the victim as 43-year-old Armen Andreasian, a resident of Yerevan, who was assaulted during a disagreement by an unknown individual.

Shamshyan reports that A. Andreasian informed the police that he works as the deputy director at Channel 5.

The police are taking necessary operational and investigative measures to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to locate the suspect.
