Trump and Erdogan Discuss Ceasefire in Syria
U.S. President Donald Trump and his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan discussed the ceasefire in Libya and the need to halt violence in Syria during a phone conversation. This was reported by Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deer on his Twitter page.
"Today, Trump had a phone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The leaders of the two countries discussed the necessity of eliminating foreign interference in Libya and maintaining the ceasefire regime. They agreed that the acts of violence taking place in Syria's Idlib province must cease," he noted.
"President Trump also emphasized the importance of resolving the disagreements between Turkey and Greece in the eastern Mediterranean," Deer added.
