Passenger Plane Crashes in Afghanistan
A passenger plane has crashed in central Afghanistan. Tolo News reported this on its Twitter page.
The incident occurred in the Deh Yak rural area of Ghazni Province. It is noted that the area is under the control of the Taliban movement. Local authorities have already requested assistance from the government, and special units will be dispatched to the accident site.
BNO News states that the plane belongs to Ariana Afghan Airlines. According to preliminary reports, there were 83 people on board. There is currently no news about casualties, and further details of the incident are not yet known.
It is worth noting that the Taliban was formed in 1994 during a turbulent period of civil war in Afghanistan. The Taliban was in power from 1996 to 2001, and after being toppled in 2001, they began conducting a guerrilla war against government troops and NATO forces in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
