Bomb Threat Reported on Flight from Khabarovsk to Moscow
A flight from Khabarovsk to Moscow was interrupted due to an anonymous bomb threat, reports Interfax agency.
“An unknown person reported that an explosive device was placed on the aircraft. A decision was made to interrupt the flight and return to Khabarovsk airport,” the source stated.
Earlier, the regional emergency situations service announced that the aircraft had safely landed, with no injuries reported. Operational services have already begun inspections of the plane, according to RIA Novosti.
A group of psychologists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene to provide psychological support to passengers. They were taken to an arrival hall where entry for those waiting was restricted.
According to information, the aircraft had 262 passengers and 10 crew members on board. A wave of “bomb threats” has continued in various cities of Russia since the end of last year, affecting courts, shopping centers, metro stations, railway stations, schools, and kindergartens. Thousands of people have been evacuated. All threats have been determined to be false.
