Vardenyats Pass Closed for Cargo Vehicles, Difficult for Passenger Cars

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of January 26 at 08:35, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the Republic of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for cargo vehicles and is difficult for passenger cars. The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult for all types of vehicles. In the Syunik region, there are areas with black ice on the roads.

Regarding Lars, information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Division and the Crisis Management Center of Russia's North Ossetia states that the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
