US and Chinese Scientists Develop Vaccine Against Coronavirus

American and Chinese scientists are working on developing a vaccine against the new type of coronavirus. This has been reported by the Xinhua news agency.

According to the agency, the teams involved in vaccine development include Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, the medical department of the University of Texas, the New York Blood Center, and the Center for Virus Research at Fudan University in Shanghai.

“This is an excellent collaboration. However, the development of a vaccine is not a fast process, and it is unclear whether we will have a vaccine ready for use before the end of this pandemic,” the agency quoted Peter Hotez, dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College.
