VIDEO: Mr. Marukyan, you misunderstood the Prime Minister's statement from yesterday, Mirzoyan

During today's voting proceedings, Edmond Marukyan, the leader of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction, once again addressed the majority's actions from yesterday that undermined the process of creating an investigation committee. He directed a question to Ararat Mirzoyan, asking why he is unable to ensure the normal functioning of the parliament. After receiving a response, he requested to speak again during the voting on an unrelated question, stating:
"According to your answer, it turns out that you did not have a political decision as a team, but rather you simply wanted the committee to be formed, although the deputies are free to vote, despite your faction leader announcing that you would vote against. As a significant representative of a political team, you said that you are not against, but now you have made these statements, and during the Q&A session yesterday, it became clear that you undermined the formation of the committee with a political decision, yet now you say they are free to vote."

Ararat Mirzoyan responded:
"Mr. Marukyan, it seems you did not clearly understand what the Prime Minister said yesterday. On the contrary, the political discourse, including within the CP faction, and the political will of the team was to assist in investigating the issues raised by you. We had the political will to go all the way; the Prime Minister was indicating that legal issues emerged along the way."

Lilit Makunts also responded, stating:
"A negative position can be expressed by voting against, abstaining, or not participating, so I do not see a problem here. Our standpoint was legal; on the contrary, we believe that political decisions should not take precedence over legal processes," she said.
