Photos: 27-Year-Old Driver Topples Traffic Light at Intersection

Today, January 13, a traffic accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 16:35, a 27-year-old resident of Yerevan, Igith Hakobyan, lost control of his Mercedes G65 with license plate 72 AR 222 at the intersection of Khorenatsi and Nar-Dos streets, crashing into the traffic light regulating the intersection and toppling it.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamsyan, preliminary information indicates that there were no injuries resulting from the accident. Garik Hakobyan, a responsible officer at the operational management center of the Yerevan Traffic Police, reported the incident to the third platoon of the first police company, from which senior inspector Vardges Poghosyan and inspector Aslan Hayrapetyan arrived at the scene.

The driver underwent sobriety testing at the site, which confirmed that he was sober.
