Shooting in Ararat Province: 35-Year-Old Man Hospitalized with Gunshot Wound
Yesterday, on January 11, an emergency incident occurred in Ararat Province. Around 15:40, the Artashat police department received a call from the "Artashat" medical center, reporting that a man had been transferred with a diagnosis of "gunshot wound to the outer region of the upper third of the left thigh, comminuted." According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, police have identified the victim as 35-year-old Grigor Hakobyan, a resident of Verin Artashat village.
The police of Ararat province have determined that on the same day, around 15:20, in the fields of Norashen village, 24-year-old Gor Harutyunyan, a resident of Verin Artashat village, accidentally shot Hakobyan with a 12 mm caliber hunting rifle of the "ARAL" model belonging to the victim. The police have recovered the aforementioned weapon. Harutyunyan has appeared at the Artashat police station, provided an explanation regarding the incident, and was released.
According to information from the photojournalist, Harutyunyan works as a security officer at "Spayka" LLC.
