Drugs Found in the Bathroom of Erebouni Medical Center
On January 10, around 00:20, a detainee, identified as E. S., from the Nubarashen penitentiary, was transferred to the Erebouni Medical Center and requested to use the hospital's restroom. According to the established protocol, an inspection was conducted by the employees of the penitentiary service, during which a polyethylene package was discovered under the trash bin in the restroom.
A report was submitted to the Erebouni division of the Armenian Police regarding the incident. An operational investigative group inspected the aforementioned package and found a greenish substance weighing 6.16 grams, resembling marijuana, a liquid filled in a bottle labeled "Ципрофлоксацин" (Ciprofloxacin), and a skin adhesive strip saturated with a synthetic drug identified as fentanyl, which is used in medicine as a potent analgesic for cancer patients.
It is noteworthy that this particular drug is primarily smuggled into the Republic of Armenia from the United States, has surfaced on the black market recently, and is used by drug addicts by applying the strip directly to the skin.
Preparations are underway for further documentation. A forensic chemical examination has been appointed to determine the composition of the substances found.
