18-Year-Old's Intentional Serious Injury Case Revealed
The investigation department of the Talin investigative division of the Aragatsotn regional investigative directorate of the RA Investigative Committee has revealed a case of intentionally causing serious injury to an 18-year-old.
On January 4, 2020, at 03:50, a call was received from the Talin Medical Center LLC to the Talin Police Department of the RA regarding a resident of Arteni village, born in 2002, who had been hospitalized with diagnoses of "penetrating stab wounds to the chest and pneumothorax".
A criminal case was initiated in accordance with part 1 of Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code. The 18-year-old has been recognized as the victim.
As a result of the measures taken, it was established that the 18-year-old sustained the mentioned injuries on January 4, 2020, around 02:00, during a dispute near an inactive restaurant in the area of Arteni village.
Several investigative actions have been carried out, including an on-site examination, seizure of the knife used in the crime, and the victim's clothing. Numerous witnesses have been questioned.
The identity of the person suspected of committing the alleged crime has been determined, who is a resident of Yerevan, born in 2001. A measure of restraint has been chosen for him in the form of a signature not to leave.
Medical, forensic, and genetic examinations have been appointed. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances of the case.
