Man Beats Ex-Wife with Metal Rod in Armavir
A resident of Armavir province has brutally assaulted his ex-wife. According to preliminary investigation data, on October 25 at approximately 3:30 PM, the man visited his ex-wife's home to attempt to take their two children, but the woman did not allow it, leading to a dispute.
The man struck his ex-wife's abdomen with a metal rod, then grabbed her hair, threw her to the ground, and dragged her for 20 meters, causing physical pain. In addition, during the same day’s conflict, he also assaulted his ex-wife’s father when intervention was made.
During the argument with his former father-in-law, he hit the latter three times with the metal rod in the lower back and legs, resulting in hematomas in the left lumbar area and around the right and left shins.
A criminal case has been initiated against the man based on Article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, which pertains to the criminal act of battery. It is noted that the man is currently free, under the preventive measure of not leaving his place of residence.
