Breaking: Route 42 Bus Crashes into Electric Pole, 1 Dead, 4 Injured
Today, December 30, a tragic incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 15:10, the driver of a ГАЗель vehicle with license plate 24 86 T, serving Route 42, left the opposite lane on Vantsyan Street under unknown circumstances and crashed into a wooden electric pole located in front of building 42/1.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, the driver and four passengers were taken to the Astghik Medical Center with bodily injuries, where one of the injured passed away without regaining consciousness.
The police and investigative department are working to determine the identities of the driver, the deceased, and the injured passengers. Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that citizens were the first to provide assistance to the victims, and the Yerevan 1-03 emergency medical team and the personnel of Astghik Medical Center acted promptly. The rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, along with one firefighting unit, also arrived quickly at the scene.
The mentioned route operates from the South-Western district to Grand Sport.
