Extraordinary Incident: Hotel Manager Suspected of Stabbing a Citizen

On December 28, police investigators from the Arabkir division uncovered a stabbing incident that occurred in Yerevan.

Around 05:05, the Arabkir Medical Center notified the Arabkir police station that a citizen had been admitted with a stab wound to the left side of the abdomen and was unable to provide explanations about the incident. The citizen who transported the injured individual reported that he had taken him to the hospital from the "Yeraz" residential area.

The police identified the victim as 25-year-old Manuk Andreasyan, a resident of the town of Byureghavan in the Kotayk region. While officers were determining the circumstances of the incident, Manuk was transferred to the Heratsi University Hospital No. 1. Meanwhile, doctors were fighting for his life, and the criminal investigation officers from the Arabkir police station conducted operational measures and discovered that Manuk had attempted to mislead both the doctors and law enforcement by claiming that he had fallen in the "Yeraz" park and incurred the injuries.

Arabkir police found that on the same day, around 04:00, there had been an altercation between the victim and 24-year-old Gevorg Vanesyan, a resident of Byureghavan, in front of the address at Komitas 28 in the Arabkir administrative district. Gevorg had stabbed Manuk in the abdomen with a knife he possessed.

On the same day, investigators located Gevorg Vanesyan, who was taken into custody at the Arabkir police station. A criminal case has been initiated against him based on Article 112, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.

According to sources, Gevorg Vanesyan works as a manager at the "Bali" hotel complex located on the Yerevan-Sevan highway.
