11 Vehicles Collide on Yerevan-Sevan Highway, Injuries Reported
On December 28, at 17:44, the "911" service received a call reporting a traffic accident on the Yerevan-Sevan highway near the town of Hrazdan. A fire and rescue team from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.
It was found that at the 48th kilometer of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, the following vehicles were involved in the collision: a “Mercedes E320” (driver: Ghevond G., born in 1988), an “Opel Vectra B” (driver: Aram S., born in 1980), a “Ford Transit” (driver: Aram Ch., born in 1993), another “Opel Vectra B” (driver: Erik Kh., born in 1997), an “Opel” (driver: Narek A., born in 1988), a “Nissan Fuga” (driver: Gurgen H., born in 1992), a “Mercedes Sprinter” (driver: Andranik Kh.), a “BMW E46” (driver: Aharon V., born in 1987), an “Opel Sintra” (driver: Mnatsakan B., born in 1982), a “BMW X5” (driver: Albert S., born in 1988), and a “Toyota Camry” (driver: Arthur M., born in 1988). The “Toyota Camry” left the roadway, while the “Mercedes Sprinter” overturned.
Before the arrival of the rescuers, the passenger of the “BMW E46”, Anahit V. (born in 1985), and the drivers of the “Opel Vectra B” and “Mercedes E320” managed to exit the vehicles with local assistance. Emergency medical staff provided assistance on site to the injured Aharon V. and Erik Kh., while Ghevond G. was hospitalized at the Hrazdan Hospital, where doctors assessed his health condition as satisfactory.
The rescuers disconnected the “Mercedes Sprinter” from the power supply.
