Several cars collide, then hit gas pipeline
On December 28, at 16:57, the "911" service received a call reporting that a traffic accident occurred near the village of Garni in the Kotayk region. A vehicle had rolled into a ravine, and there was a gas leak. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
A rescue team from the Emergency Situations Ministry's special operations center was dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that a "Lada 21010" (driver: Deranik I.), an "Opel Astra G" (driver: Sargis T.), and a "Mercedes E320" (driver: Misha P.) were involved in a collision. As a result, the "Lada 21010" went off the roadway, struck a gas pipeline, and overturned, causing a gas leak from the pipeline.
The rescuers turned off the electricity to the vehicles, cordoned off the area, and remained on duty until the personnel from the "1-04" service could stop the gas leak.
