Major Car Accident in Gyumri Leaves 7 Injured

On December 27, at 17:48, the Emergency Service received a call reporting a traffic accident on the Gyumri-Mayisyan highway.

A firefighting unit from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was revealed that a collision occurred between an "Opel Astra G" (driver: Haik M., born 1980) and a "Nissan X-Trail" (driver: Sergey P., born 1992). There were injuries reported.

Before the rescuers arrived, the driver of the "Nissan X-Trail" and a passenger, Arpine P. (born 1987), were transported to the Gyumri Medical Center. Doctors assessed Sergey P.'s health condition as moderate, while Arpine P. was discharged after receiving appropriate medical assistance.

The rescuers extracted passengers of the "Opel Astra G", Lukas (born 2008) and Anahit (born 1957) M., from the wreckage. Passengers Lukas (born 2008), Anahit (born 2011), and Tigran (born 2014) M. were hospitalized at the Austrian Hospital for Mother and Child in Gyumri, where Lukas M.'s condition was deemed extremely serious and Anahit and Tigran M.'s conditions were assessed as moderate.

The driver of the "Opel Astra G", along with passengers Anahit M. (born 1957) and Lusine G. (born 1990), were taken to Gyumri Medical Center, where doctors determined the health conditions of Haik and Anahit M. to be serious, while Lusine G. was discharged after receiving the necessary medical treatment.

The rescuers secured the area, disconnected the vehicles' power, and shut off the gas cylinder valves.
